On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 departed LaGuardia airport at 3:24 p.m. There were 155 souls, including captain and crew, on board. Roughly 208 seconds later, flight 1549 was forced to land on the Hudson River no more than seven miles away from takeoff. No one was seriously injured and within 24 minutes, NY Waterway ferries, the New York Fire Department, New York Police Department and the US Coast Guard had all 155 passengers rescued and safely back on dry land. 2 Jacks – A modern and comic spin on a classic Leo Tolstoy story, “Two Hussars” set in Los Angeles. The Jacks are both movie directors, with the son following in the father’s footsteps whether he likes it or not. It’s a cutthroat business, this movie business, and it takes a cutthroat individual to make it happen. Danny Huston plays Jack Sr., Jack Huston is Jack Jr., Sienna Miller and Jacqueline Bisset play the girl, and Billy Zane and Rosie Fellner add to the cast. Cheerful Weather for the Wedding – A period piece of manners, or sorts. Dolly (Felicity Jones) is upstairs and about to be wed, but an old flame waltzes back into her life and everything is thrown out the window. She sits upstairs, fretting her future, while downstairs, her fiance and ex-lover (Mackenzie Crook & Luke Treadaway) await her decision.  Will she stay true to her fiance, or will true love, true unbridled-scary-as-hell-what-the-heck-am-I-doing-love triumph? Beautifully photographed with stunning actors to gaze at, it may be predictable, possibly even boring, but at least it looks good.
